Nail Care Services NC II Orientation

Welcome to this course Nail Care Services NC II.

Nail Care Services is one of the qualifications in Beauty Care under Home Economics Strand of Technical Vocational Livelihood Track.

In Nail Care Services you are expected to learn the following learning core competencies:

1. Perform manicure and pedicure

2. Perform hand spa

3. Perform foot spa

 

The government or the school will not provide the tools and supplies for your training so you need to provide your own materials.

(I will make a separate video for the materials needed in Nail Care Services Training.)

Last year the H.E. 12 donated small chairs and bowls. You may use them.

At the end of the sem you must also think of manicure tool that you can donate to the school to help the next batch of trainees in their training.

The semester is divided into 2. Midterm and Finals. We are going to have Hand and Foot Spa Services and the Pre and Post Service activities for midterm.

Then we'll have the Manicure and Pedicure  for Finals.

Computation of Grades

Your grade will be computed based on the following:

a. Written ( SQ,forms etc) 20%

b. Performance ( Practicums) 60%

c Quarterly Exam 20%

Total of 100%

Culminating Activity (1st week of February)

You are going to set up a mini Nail Salon and get everyrhing ready.

It's where you are going to showcase your skills, apply the knowledge that you've learned and of course earn money!

 

National Competency Assessment

You are going to undergo National Competency Assessment after finishing up the lessons. You will have prepare  the following:

*4pcs passport size pic (white background, with collar)

* NCA application form

* Assessment fee of (approx  Php600)

You will bring your own materials and model during the assessment.

Employment

Your National Competency Certificate in Nail Care Services NC II may be used as credentials for your employment as Nail Technician in Nail Salons locally or abroad.

Own Nail Salon Business

Your knowledge and skills that you learned here in school and from your work experience is important when you decide to establish your own Nail Salon business in the future.
