I. Introductory Concept

Nail art is a wonderful way to have some fun and express one's self. Nail Salon clients chose the nail color and designs that they prefer according to their personality. Some of them choose nail designs that suits their career or job, some would choose nail designs that represents their belief, while some just want to express their art and vibe. In this lesson, we will learn to make different basic nail designs.

B. Identification

Directions: Identify the following nail designs: Write your answer on the blank before each number.

1. It is the traditional application of nail polish to the entire nail plate.

2. It is a style that involves applying of nail polish over the whole nail plate except the area of lunula.

3. It involves the application of colored polish over the whole nail plate except the area of lunula and tip of the toe nail.

4. It is a style that involves the application of nail polish to create S curve, leaving a slightly lager gap along the nail walls.

5. It is a design which involves the application of colored polish over the whole part of the nail except the area of the free-edge

6-10. List the materials needed for applying basic nail design.
